This unit is compact. And looks like it will last us a long time. Make sure you understand what comes in the case and what does not. The 1/2 Drill chucks had to purchased elsewhere and were not in stock at all locations. So plan ahead and be patient. THis unit is excellent for field repairs and in house repairs that require odd angle drilling.

For remote drilling in metal, the 4270-21 is a great choice. This drill press includes a very powerful 1.1 maximum horsepower, 9.0 amp motor. It can drill up to 1-1/2in. diameter holes through 2in. thick steel with annular cutters, or 1/2in. diameter holes 4-1/4in. deep with twist drill bits. The tool is setup to accept standard 3/4in. Weldon shank cutters.
